Deacon's Corner

8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:8-9 (NIV)

Indeed our joy is inexpressible! He is glorious. Our Risen Lord lives and rules and the salvation of our souls is sure! Our hope is secure.
The deacons call your attention to a number of changes on the offering calendar. On July 11, our offering will go to the Salt Lake City Cambodian Church. Pastor Charlie Phim will lead our worship that morning and we would like to designate that offering for their rebuilding efforts. We will place the general fund offering on December 19, and a benevolent offering on October 24.
Due to several crisis needs within the church, our Benevolence account is running low. Offerings for benevolence are scheduled for July 18 and October 24, however the deacons ask you to consider that need and designate your gift for benevolence as you feel led.
We also call your attention to the quickly approaching facelift on the church property: exterior carpet, paint for the parsonage, and cement repair work. We currently need approximately $900 for these repairs. (And now there is window repair & siding work due to hail damage.)
One of the ways we testify to our world that we do indeed believe and hope and have confidence is the way we give: our time, our talent, our money. The deacons thank you for your generosity in giving and trust in God’s assurance to us that when we give in obedience and trust, He will pour on us blessing upon blessing.
